Welcome to our tutorial on how to efficiently manage resource libraries in BiblioTECH's Resource Manager. In this guide, we'll walk you through the process of assigning resources to libraries, whether individually or in bulk. Additionally, we'll explore how to add custom libraries to meet your library's unique needs. Let's get started!

Assigning Libraries to Resources Individually
  • Begin by logging in to the BiblioTECH web app using your credentials.
  • Once logged in, navigate to the dashboard.
  • From the dashboard, select the "Resource" button. This is where you access your library's resources.
  • Inside the Resource Manager, you'll find a list of your library's resources.
  • To assign a library to a specific resource, locate the resource from the list.
  • Click on the "Actions" button associated with that resource and select "Edit." This will open the resource editing form.
  • Within the editing form, locate the "Library" field.
  • In the "Library" field, you'll see a drop-down list of available libraries. By default, the system provides five libraries: Main, Lost, Workroom, Ordered, and Virtual.
  • Select the library that best suits the resource. For example, if it's a resource that needs repair, you can assign it to the "Workroom" library.
  • After selecting the library, you can make any other necessary edits to the resource details.
  • Click the "Update" button to save the changes and assign the resource to the selected library.

Moving Multiple Resources to a Library in Bulk
  • If you need to assign multiple resources to the same library, you can do so in bulk. Here's how:
  • Inside the Resource Manager, select the resources you want to move to a specific library by ticking the checkbox next to each resource.
  • After selecting the resources, look for the "Bulk Actions" button.
  • Click on the "Bulk Actions" button, and a menu will appear with various options.
  • From the menu, select "Move to Library." This action will allow you to assign a library to all the selected resources simultaneously.
  • A new window will open, displaying a drop-down list of available libraries.
  • Choose the desired library for the selected resources.
  • Confirm your selection and click the "Move" or "Save" button.

Adding Custom Libraries
  • BiblioTECH provides default libraries like Main, Lost, and Virtual. However, you can also add custom libraries to meet your library's specific needs.
  • To add custom libraries, navigate to the "Libraries" button within side menu of BiblioTECH and click on it.
  • In the Libraries Manager, you'll find options to add, edit, and delete custom libraries.
  • Click on the "Add Library" button to create a new library.
  • In the library creation form, specify the library's name.
  • Save the new library.
  • Your custom library will now be available for use when assigning resources in the Resource Manager.

Managing resource libraries in BiblioTECH allows you to categorise and organise your resources efficiently. By assigning resources to libraries, you can streamline processes like inventory management and resource tracking. Additionally, the ability to create custom libraries ensures that BiblioTECH can adapt to your library's unique needs. Thank you for following this tutorial!
