Welcome to our tutorial on how to efficiently manage collections using BiblioTECH's web app. Collections allow you to categorise and control the visibility of resources in your library's search module. In this guide, we will walk you through adding, editing, and deleting collections to help you organise your resources effectively. Let's get started!

Accessing the Collections Tab
  • Start by logging in to BiblioTECH's web app using your credentials.
  • After logging in, navigate to the dashboard.
  • In the dashboard, click on the "Resource Manager" section. This is where you manage your library's resources and collections.
  • Within the Resource Manager area, you'll find the "Collections" tab. Click on the "Collections" tab to access the Collections area.

Adding a New Collection
  • In the Collections area, you can perform various actions related to collections.
  • To add a new collection, click on the "Add New" button, which is located next to the search box at the top of the Collections area.
  • A pop-up window will appear, allowing you to enter a name for the new collection.
  • After naming the collection, click "Save" to create it.

Managing Collection Details
  • In the Collections area, you'll see a list of all the existing collections.
  • For each collection entry, you can perform various actions using the "Actions" button. These actions include "View," "Edit," and "Delete."

Editing a Collection
  • To edit the name of a collection, click on the "Edit" option from the "Actions" drop-down menu for the desired collection.
  • A form will open, allowing you to modify the collection's name.
  • After making the necessary changes, click "Save" to update the collection's name.

Deleting a Collection
  • If you need to delete a collection, locate the collection in the Collections area.
  • Click on the "Actions" button for the collection, and select "Delete."
  • A confirmation message will appear to ensure that you intend to delete the collection.
  • Carefully read the message, and if you're certain about deleting the collection, click "OK" to proceed.

By following these steps, you can efficiently manage collections in BiblioTECH's web app. Collections are a powerful tool for categorising and controlling resource visibility in the search module. Whether you need to create new collections, edit collection names, or delete collections, these features provide you with the flexibility and control to maintain an organised library resource database.
