Resource Containers
Welcome to our tutorial on how to efficiently manage containers using BiblioTECH's web app. Containers allow you to group multiple resources together for easier circulation. In this guide, we will walk you through adding, editing, managing contents, and deleting containers in your library's resource database. Let's get started!
Accessing the Containers Tab
- Start by logging in to BiblioTECH's web app using your credentials.
- After logging in, navigate to the dashboard.
- In the dashboard, click on the "Resource Manager" section. This is where you manage your library's resources and containers.
- Within the Resource Manager area, you'll find the "Containers" tab. Click on the "Containers" tab to access the Containers area.
Adding a Container
- In the Containers area, you can perform various actions related to containers.
- To add a new container, click on the "Add Container" button, located next to the search box at the top of the Containers area.
- A container form will appear, allowing you to specify details for the new container.
- Fill out the required form fields, and optionally, add an image to represent the container.
- Click on the "Save" button to create the container.
Managing Container Details
- In the Containers area, you'll see a list of all the existing containers.
- For each container entry, you can perform various actions using the "Actions" button. These actions include "View," "Edit," "Manage Contents," and "Delete."
Managing Container Contents
- To manage the contents of a container, click on the "Manage Contents" option from the "Actions" drop-down menu for the desired container.
- In this section, you can add or remove resources from the container.
- You can also generate a report of the container's contents by clicking the "Download Report" button.
- If you want to remove all contents from the container, use the "Remove All" button.
- Each resource listed has a "Remove" button that allows you to remove resources individually.
Adding Resources to Containers
- To add resources to a container, click the "Add by Title" or "Add by Barcode" button, depending on your preference.
- "Add by Title" allows you to type the resource title and then displays matching resources with an "Add" button.
- "Add by Barcode" lets you scan or manually input the barcode and then displays matching resources with an "Add" button.
Deleting Containers
- If you need to delete a container, locate the container in the Containers area.
- Click on the "Actions" button for the container, and select "Delete."
