In BiblioTECH's Resource Manager, you have access to powerful bulk actions that enable you to efficiently manage multiple resources at once. These actions are incredibly useful for various tasks, such as generating reports, creating resource copies, marking or unmarking resources, deleting resources, and moving resources to different libraries or collections. In this tutorial, we'll walk you through how to use the "Bulk Actions" button to perform these tasks in bulk.

Accessing Bulk Actions
  1. Begin by logging in to BiblioTECH's web app using your credentials.
  2. Once logged in, navigate to the dashboard.
  3. From the dashboard, select the "Resource" button. This is where you access your library's resources.
  4. Inside the Resource Manager, you'll see a list of your library's resources.
  5. To perform bulk actions, you need to select the resources you want to apply the actions to. Locate the resources you wish to work with.
  6. For each resource you want to include in the bulk action, tick the checkbox next to its entry. This marks the resource for bulk action.

Performing Bulk Actions Now that you've selected the resources for bulk actions, here's how to use the "Bulk Actions" button:
  1. Once you've marked the desired resources, look for the "Bulk Actions" button. This button is typically located at the top or bottom of the resource list, and it's designed for making bulk changes to the selected resources.
  2. Click on the "Bulk Actions" button to reveal a drop-down menu with various options for bulk actions.

Available Bulk Actions Here are the available bulk actions and their purposes:
  • Download Report: Use this option to download an Excel report containing a list of the selected resources. This can be handy for generating detailed resource lists for various purposes.
  • Create Copy: Choose this option to create copies of the selected resources. This is useful when you want to duplicate resources quickly.
  • Mark and Unmark: These options allow you to mark or unmark the selected resources. Marks are often used for printing labels, applying updates to fields, and temporarily grouping resources.
  • Delete: Selecting this option will delete the resources you've marked. Be cautious when using this action, as it permanently removes resources from your library.
  • Move to Library: Use this option to move the selected resources to a different library within your library system.
  • Move to Collection: Selecting this action allows you to move the selected resources to a different collection, helping you organise your resources effectively.

The "Bulk Actions" button in BiblioTECH's Resource Manager empowers you to efficiently manage multiple resources at once, streamlining various library management tasks. Whether you need to generate reports, create copies, mark or unmark resources, activate or deactivate them, delete resources, or move them to different libraries or collections, this feature offers flexibility and convenience.
