BiblioTECH includes a powerful tool which allows you to work on a number of records in bulk.
When viewing a grid, you can select a range of cells and then operate on those records (eg. for Printing, saving, limited updates).
The particular options available will depend on which BiblioTECH Client is being used.
To select a range of cells (example using Resource Manager)
Arrange the grid columns and widths so that the desired cells are adjacent and display appropriately
Locate the top-left cell to include in the range (eg. Accession Number 9683)
Move the mouse pointer to be in this cell and, while holding down the shift button, click the mouse. The grid’s header row will change colour.Note In Patron Manager and Resource Manager, there are also menu options which can be used select the start of a range
Locate the bottom-right cell to include in the range (eg. Microkillers)
Move the mouse pointer to be in this cell and, while holding down the shift button, click the mouse. (the selected range will be highlighted and the available options will be displayed)Note In Patron Manager and Resource Manager, there are also menu options to select the end of a range
Note: The range highlighting will be removed when the action has completed
