'Stand Alone' Mode

BiblioTECH requires that the Server computer has an operating network interface. If you wish to operate BiblioTECH in 'Stand-Alone' mode (i.e. computer has no network interfaces) then you need to install and configure the Microsoft Loopback Adaptor. The procedure will vary depending on the operating system in use:



Once installed, adjust the Loopback Adaptor's IPv4 properties:

  1. Set it to have a static IP address.
  2. Enter a valid address and subnet mask (e.g. 192.168.201.202, subnet mask 255.255.255.0).
  3. Leave its Gateway address empty.
  4. Save these settings & restart the computer.


The BiblioTECH Client will now communicate with the Server modules using this IP address.
